Three short questions, about two minutes. See how many hours a week repetitive work costs your business, what that's worth, and where to start.

Ranked by hours you could get back each week.
Each task has a share of its work that can realistically be automated, from 35% for inbox and admin up to 70% for copying data between systems. These are deliberately cautious, and allow for the checking and exceptions a person still handles. Your weekly hours on a task, multiplied by its share, give the hours you get back. If a task is already partly automated, there's less left to gain, so its share drops to 60% of the usual figure. Tasks you add yourself use 40%.
Hours back each week, over 46 weeks a year to allow for time off, at your hourly rate. This is the value of the time, before any software or set-up costs.
There's a limit on how many hours of repetitive work are counted. The owner is counted on a 7-day, 10-hour week, and up to half of it (35 hours). Everyone else is counted on a standard 37.5-hour week: up to 40% in teams of 2 to 5, 30% in teams of 6 to 15, 25% in teams of 16 to 50 and 20% in teams of 51 to 100. Bigger teams get a smaller share because more of their people work in sales, delivery or specialist roles.
They're set within what surveys find, not at the top end. UK small business owners report around 11 hours a week on admin and finance alone (American Express SME Barometer, 2026). Finance staff in the UK and US say they spend over 3.5 hours a day on tasks that could be automated (Medius and Censuswide, 2025). Knowledge workers, including in the UK, spend around three hours on meetings, email and paperwork for every hour of creative or strategic work (Miro Momentum at Work Report, 2025).
